Our Mission

Our Mission for Save our Seed Youth Development Center, Inc. is to provide an outreach center for youth ages 11-18 to foster a creative learning environment; and to develop intellectual, social, moral, emotional, and physical well being through mentorship and job training skills.

Giving Hope to Youth & the Community

The Beginning

The vision began June 2017 when Rev. Erma Raymond and Bishop William Simpson agreed to come together and make Save our Seed Youth Development Center, Inc. a reality.

We chose the Chattanooga, TN area because of high gang violence, poverty, imprisonment of many of our youth, sex trafficking, etc.

We feel if we can reach and make a difference in a small/large portion of our youth in the Chattanooga area, surrounding counties and the North Georgia area we will have accomplished our mission.

Where We Are In the Process

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with challenges. Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have been forced to move into the virtual world. Beginning December 1, 2020, we will begin our “Afterschool Virtual Tutoring and Activities Program”. This is designed to be able to meet the needs of students who are being challenged by the new normal of learning. Please feel free to sign up your child/children up in needed areas of study.

High Fives

"We pray that you all see the vision and need in this community to save our seed (children)."

William Simpson and  Erma Raymond
